Job summary

Network engineer will be responsible to decommission legacy network on a Data Center and join them to current Company’s environment. At the same time, the consultant will be architecting remote locations access to new Wide Area Network and redeploying F5 technologies across the Data Center.
This position is responsible for designing, supporting, managing and maintaining all aspects of the network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN, wireless technologies, network security, VoIP, and datacenter switching. The consultant engages in architecture definition, planning, technology direction, project management as well as mentoring of network engineers
Location: Dallas Texas, Franklin Tennessee, Little Rock Arkansas and  WACO  Texas. 70-80% travelling.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 10 Years of Experience of Cisco Routers, Firewalls and Switches designing complex networks with high availability hardware.
  • At least 8 Years with Palo Alto Firewalls and PAM controls
  • At least 5 years of Meraki equipment such as Firewall, Access Point and Switches
  • F5 Platform Administration
  • a. Strong understanding of high-availability system configurations and design options
  • b. Experience configuring and managing system interfaces and addressing
  • c. Fluent in TMSH and CLI for system configuration
  • F5 Local Traffic Management
  • a. Strong understanding of local traffic management concepts including virtual servers, load balancing methods, persistence, and health monitors
  • b. Experience in the development and use of iRules and Data Groups
  • F5 Global Traffic Management
  • a. Knowledgeable of general DNS principles and operations
  • b. Strong understanding of Wide IPs and LB Methods for high availability and load distribution topologies
  • c. Familiar with GTM health monitoring and LTM Integration (iQuery)
  • d. Experience with zone and record administration in DNS Express
  • F5 Application Policy Management
  • a. Experience with clientless and client based remote access VPN topologies
  • b. Familiarity with remote access VPN topologies and options for mobile clients including Per-App VPN and automatic connection profiles
  • c. Strong understanding of authentication and single sign-on protocols and technologies (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML)
  • Application protocols and topologies
  • a. Strong familiarity with application deployment topologies and flows
  • b. Deep understanding of common applications protocols, including HTTP and LDAP
  • Enterprise Routing and Switching
  • a. Familiar with routing protocols (OSPF/BGP) in an enterprise environment
